Eugenie told me today that a friend of hers once told people he thought she was probably the only person in the world whose first and last name both began with "Eu." This made my heart smile. In the 30 years I've know Eugenie, of all the beautiful, unique qualities I've contemplated, admired, and even envied about her, this is something I had never noticed. I love when this happens; when I see something for the very first time that I've been looking at for most of my life.
